About Department
The Department of Political Science has been introduced in June 1972. The former Principal P. K. Gaikwad who also happened to be the head of the department of Political Science. The founder chairman of our institution Late Dadasaheb Palodkar Donated number of valuable and important books which include “Debate in parliament” this treasury of collection of good books is very much useful to the aspiring students Late Prof. R. S. Chavan has also rendered value co – operation to this department until 1989. After his death Prof. D. V. Pawar acted as asst. during the period ending 1990-91.
Myself Professor Dr. G. R. Gajbhiye was appointed to serve the department in the year 1991. After ending the service of principal P. K. Gaikwad (H.O.D) in our institution. I was asking to carry the responsibility as a head of the dept. Since 1993 and my colleague Associate Professor E. D. Kharat appointed in the year 2007. Facing various and hard ship our team is trying its best and run the department successfully. The department of political Science always actively participates in the social responsibilities and extension activities.
