INTRODUCTION OF THE DEPARTMENT:
The Department of Marathi has been introduced in June 1972. Prof. N. H. Hege was H. O. D. from the inception up to the academic year 2008. After his retirement Dr. N. N. Moon succeeded as the head of department.
The Department of Marathi always actively participates in the social reopen sibilates, extension activities and cultural events organized by the department of
NSS, lifelong learning, Extension and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. We always encourage the student to take part in the social activities.

ESTABLISHMENT OF THE DEPARTMENT:
Yeshwantrao Chavan College, Sillod was established in 1972. Commencement of UG course in the subject in the same year.
